J.Berchmans UWIMANA,MD,MPH/MBA'24: Founder
Dr. Jean Berchmans UWIMANA is a Rwandan Medical Doctor For Choice. He is a bachelor of medicine and surgery and a graduate of the University of Rwanda. He has extensive experience in family planning and the reproductive health field. He has served in this field since he was in his second year of undergraduate training. Today, Berchmans is pursuing graduate training (MPH/MBA) dual degree program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Carey Business School, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Berchmans is the Founder of Flavours of Family Planning.
IRADUKUNDA Cyprien,MD: Co-Founder
Dr. Cyprien Iradukunda, MD, is the Co-founder of Flavours of family planning. During his undergraduate Journey, he served as the President of the Medical Students’ Association of Rwanda. In his leadership, he contributed to projects supporting young people to realize their responsibilities in preventing teenage pregnancies. Cyprien has served as the Head of Gender Based Violence thematic Area at the African Youth and Adolescent Network (AfriYAN) Rwanda chapter and has played an imperative role at the frontline in taking care of the critical covid-19 patients since the outbreak introduction in Rwanda. Currently, Cyprien is the clinical specialist at the Rwanda Ministry of Health.
INGABIRE Divine, MD'24 : FFP - Author
Ingabire Ntwali Divine is an emerging reproductive health advocate. She is pursuing her medical undergraduate degree at the University of Rwanda. She has previously participated in the growth of the student’s network to highlight Medical Students For Choice at the University of Rwanda, the Medical Students Association of Rwanda, the Globemed chapter at the University of Rwanda, and Operation Smile Students Association. Divine holds different certificates that she gained upon participating in Reproductive Health training and advocacy contribution. Currently, she serves as the author at FFP, outreach coordinator in operation Smile, and co-president of the Globemed chapter at the UR.
Serge NDAGIJIMANA,MD: FFP Chief Operating Officer
Serge NDAGIJIMANA, MD, is a reproductive health advocate interested in public health policy and leadership, specifically research advocacy for strategic litigation. He served as the Medical Students For Choice Rwanda Chapter (MSFC) Representative and Former President of the Medical Students Association of Rwanda (MEDSAR). Serge is a talented creative and art designer. He is success-oriented and a team builder. He is currently interning in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at a Referral Hospital in the north of Rwanda. Serge is the Chief Operating Officer at Flavours of Family Planning.
Sadrine UMUTONIWASE,MD24 : FFP - Author
Sandrine is an outstanding young leader working to drive a substantial social change regarding the way our society perceives Family Planning. She is eager to contribute to transforming gender norms that consequently lead to Gender-Based Violence. Sandrine is pursuing her undergraduate medical training at the University of Rwanda. She worked actively with the medical students association of Rwanda, where she organized numerous activities in reproductive health and rights training, providing opportunities for fellow young people to learn. In 2019 she served as an intern at the Health Development Initiative (HDI) where she worked with a team in charge of empowering teen mothers from different sectors of Rwanda and assisted in executing related research.
On top of our team doing a daily job to advance the program, Our greatest appreciation goes to our supporters listed in the footer, and 13 volunteers that have been working with us closely.
